Meyers, Avery accredited to practice before Veterans Administration

Attorneys Barry M. Meyers and Steven D. Avery of the Elder Law Offices of Meyers & Avery have received accreditation by the Veterans Administration to represent veterans and their spouses with claims for veterans’ benefits.

Accredited attorneys with the Veterans Administration are required to be certified annually and to complete continuing legal education courses.

Meyers and Avery will counsel clients regarding eligibility for the Aid and Attendance Pension program. This program provides cash assistance to veterans and their spouses to help with the expenses of long-term care.

In addition to this accreditation, Meyers and Avery are members of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Meyers has been a Certified Elder Law Attorney since 2003 and has been named a SuperLawyer by Washington Law and Politics Magazine for the past four years.
