Mark Thoma and Edwin Williams joined the Mount Baker Theatre board of directors July 1, and will serve for three-year terms.
Thoma is an assurance services partner at Moss Adams LLP. He and his family moved to Bellingham in 1997 from Tuscon, Ariz. Thoma earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arizona. He has been a part of numerous community groups in Whatcom County, including serving as the treasurer of the Whatcom Rangers soccer club, a member of the board of the Lakeside soccer club, and playing bass guitar at Christ the King Community Church.
Williams has been a part of the Bellingham community since 1989 and has more than 30 years of experience in public education in the state of Washington. He graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in music education and attended graduate school at the University of Washington. Williams is currently board president of Northwest Youth Services and of the City Club of Bellingham. He is also an active musician playing in the Bellingham High Alumni Band, the North Sound Community Orchestra and several local bands.
