A public forum in Mount Vernon regarding Washington’s implementation of a regulated marijuana market has moved locations to accomodate a larger crowd.
The forum, scheduled from 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, will be held at McIntyre Hall on the campus of Skagit Valley College, 2501 E. College Way. It was initially scheduled to be held the college’s Tarro Theatre.
Four previous public forums, which are hosted by the Washington State Liquor Control Board, the state agency that will oversee legal marijuana sales, have drawn capacity crowds in Seattle, Olympia, Vancouver and Spokane. The events have included presentations that cover the liquor board’s role in implementing the new law, as well as opportunities for public comments.
The final public forum is scheduled for Yakima on Feb. 21.
