Net neutrality panel debate coming to Bellingham

The Technology Alliance Group for Northwest Washington will host a panel debate titled “net neutrality and the future of internet access,” On Friday, Aug. 15 at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club.

In a press release, the Technology Alliance Group calls net neutrality “the most important First Amendment issue of our time,” with huge implications for the future of internet access.

The group has assembled experts to speak about the political, philosophical, and economic issues involved with net neutrality.

Speakers include David Nicksic, manager of the Enterprise Engineering Team for Comcast; John Van Oppen, senior vice president of Spectrum Networks for Wave Broadband; Jim Reavis, Cloud Security Alliance’s CEO; and Michael Schultzer, CEO for Washington Technology Industry Association.
