Local publicist and marketing consultant Patti Rowlson of PR Consulting is hosting a free business education and networking event at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at BelleWood Acres at 6140 Guide Meridian, near Lynden.
Rowlson has invited Renata Kowalczyk of Collaboration Economy Catalyst to facilitate a one-hour interactive workshop titled “Grow Your Business with New Resources and Local Partnerships.” Attendees will be asked to identify a challenge currently facing their business, and they will learn about a variety of untapped resources and partnership opportunities to help them move forward.
Kowalczyk is also a current candidate for the Port of Bellingham Commission, running this year against Dan Robbins for the commission’s District No. 1 seat, although the Oct. 23 event will not involve campaign-related activities, Rowlson said.
“There are many great companies located in the small cities that make up North Whatcom County,” Rowlson said, in a news release. “I wanted to organize an event that would give business owners a chance to learn something new and make meaningful connections with others.”
Rowlson is also a contributing columnist for The Bellingham Business Journal.
The workshop will be followed by networking, light refreshments, vodka tasting and a distillery tour at BelleWood Acres from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
RSVPs are required due to space limitations. More information is online at pattirowlson.com/events/.
