The Northwest Washington Fair will offer a one-day “Ticket Blitz,” featuring discounts of up to 60 percent on admission tickets and carnival passes on Thursday, May 23.

Discounted tickets and passes will be available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. inside all 14 Woods Coffee locations in Whatcom County.

Gate admission tickets for the fair, scheduled Aug. 12-17, will be sold for $8 for adults (regular $12), $6 for seniors (ages 62 and older, regular $10) and $4 for youths (ages 6-12, regular $5). All-day carnival ride passes will be available for $20 (regular $30).

The discounted tickets and passes won’t be available at the fair office or The Woods Coffee drive-through windows.

Jim Baron, general manager of the Northwest Washington Fair, said the May 23 discounts won’t be matched again this year.

“The Ticket Blitz, made possible by the support of Woods Coffee, rewards people who know they and/or their guests will be attending this year’s fair,” Baron said, in a press release.
