"One of the best meals ever": Diners give Silver Reef's Steak House top honors

The Steak House at Silver Reef Hotel Casino Spa has been named one of the top 100 restaurants of 2012 by OpenTable in its annual Diners’ Choice list for Best Service.

“We are thrilled. This list recognizes The Steak House not only for the quality of food we produce, but our customer service as well,” Chet Holstien, the restaurant’s maitre d’ and sommelier, said in an April 10 press release. “We want our guests to experience the finest in dining, and I believe we are accomplishing that.”

OpenTable allows its 280 million users to make reservations online at any OpenTable restaurant. After visiting the restaurant of their choice, diners are asked to complete a feedback form used to create the OpenTable Diners’ Choice lists.

In addition to the Best Service award, OpenTable diners have also selected The Steak House as Best Overall Restaurant, Best North of Seattle and Best Special Occasion.

The restaurant has also received previous awards for its wine offerings, including the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence and the Wine Enthusiast Award of Distinction.

Silver Reef Hotel Casino Spa, owned by the Lummi Nation, has 105 guest rooms and suites. Its 50,000-square-foot casino floor includes video slot machines and table games.

It is celebrating 10 years in business.
