Oysters, Mexico trip at Bellingham Rotary fundraiser Feb. 4

Bellingham Sunrise Rotary Club’s upcoming Oysterfest will be auctioning off a one-week stay in a Cabo San Lucas presidential suite as part of an effort to raise money to benefit local youth services.

The 21st annual Oysterfest, set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Bellingham Golf & Country Club, 3729 Meridian St., will benefit Amy’s Place, Explorations Academy and Bellingham Childcare and Learning Center. All three serve local children in need.
Additional funds raised will help other local Rotary-assisted projects.
Other highlights of the auction include a Fairhaven weekend at The Chrysalis with spa treatments, a hot air balloon ride and picnic, a signed Jake Locker football helmet and Seattle Sounders game tickets.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour featuring wine, beer and raw shucked oysters, and it concludes after dinner with an auction.  In addition, a locally crafted pearl necklace and an iPad will be raffled off.

Tickets are $100 and are available at the door. To pre-purchase tickets, contact Sunrise Rotary member Rob Lee at 360-223-6840 or rob@thefirs.org.
