Pacific Psychology to open in July

Jason Prinster, a trained clinical psychologist with 10 years experience, is planning to open Pacific Psychology at 2110 Iron St. Prinster will be a member of Freedman & Associates, a group of independent mental health professionals.

Prinster said for the past four years he has been in the Air Force stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. While there, he said he worked as a medical officer dealing with military and family issues, as well as individuals suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Now out of the Air Force, Prinster and his wife have just moved to Bellingham for the good schools, to be closer to family and to pursue new professional goals.

“It has always kind of been a goal of mine to have a smaller, private practice, as opposed to working for a large hospital,” Prinster said.

Prinster said his new practice will provide consultation, psychotherapy/counseling, and comprehensive assessment services for individuals, families, and organizations. He will open his practice to new clients beginning in July.
