Vincent Stanley, the active vice president of marketing at Patagonia, will be the featured speaker at a business lunch co-sponsored by Village Books and the nonprofit Sustainable Connections, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, in the Leopold Crystal Ballroom in downtown Bellingham.
Stanley has been with Patagonia, an California-based outdoor clothing company, on and off since its inception in 1973.
For the past eight years, Stanley has focused on the intersection of the company’s brand, sport and environmental stories. He has also helped initiate and produce the Footprint Chronicles, the company’s interactive website that outlines the social and environmental impact of its products, the Common Threads Partnership, and Patagonia Books.
He is also co-author of “The Responsible Company: What We’ve Learned From Patagonia’s First 40 Years.”
Stanley’s Feb. 13 presentation will focus on Patagonia’s efforts to become more socially and environmentally responsible, according to a news release.
Tickets for the event are $17 and include a boxed lunch from Book Fare Café. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own lunch and pay $5 for admission.
