PeaceHealth director appointed to Baldrige Award board

Joni Och of the PeaceHealth Northwest Network has been appointed to the board of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

The Baldrige Award is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. The board of examiners includes leading experts from industry, professional and trade organizations, education and health care organizations and nonprofits.

Och, formerly a director of quality, the director of the Center for Health Improvement at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, and has also been named director for the PeaceHealth Northwest Network.

Och has been with PeaceHealth since 1992, beginning as a medical technologist, then moving into the quality department as facilitator prior to becoming the director.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University and a MBA Western Washington University. She also holds a certification as a medical technician from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
