Verkist joins Semiahmoo as catering and conventions manager

Semiahmoo Resort hired Jamie Verkist as catering and conventions services manger. Verkist will be in charge of soliciting new and existing catering accounts, maintaining relationships with customers, and facilitating the planning and preparation of meetings and events.

Before getting the job, Verkist was assistant general manager for Red Robin International. He has lived in Whatcom County much of his life and previously directed A Taste of Elegance catering company in Bellingham.

Perry earns premier advisor designation

Mike Perry, senior vice president and investment officer with Wells Fargo in Bellingham, earned the bank’s premier advisor designation for the ninth year in a row.

Perry has been a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors for 14 years and has 19 years of experience in the industry.

SaviBank promotes Anderson to Chief Credit Officer

SaviBank announced that Todd Anderson has been promoted to Chief Credit Officer of the Burlington-based bank. Todd joined the bank in 2005 to work in the real estate loan department.

In 2012, he was promoted to credit administrator. In that role, he was instrumental in helping correct issues associated with the bank’s cease and desist order, according to a press release. The FDIC lifted the cease and desist order in December 2014.
