Ashley Taubenheim was recently hired as People Bank‘s vice president and will manage the retail loan operations department located at 4183 Meridian St.

Taubenheim has 23 years of financial services experience, more than 20 of which were spent in the Bellingham real estate market. In her new position, she will coordinate underwriting and closing functions, among other things.

“Ashley is an excellent addition to our already talented retail loan operations team,” Laura Lee, senior vice president and operations manager said in a press release. “She brings with her strong expertise in production, compliance and operations.”

A lifetime resident of Washington, Taubenheim attended Western Washington University when she moved to Bellingham in 1980 and has been an active member of the local community ever since.  She is a past president of the Southside Soccer Association and former commodore of the Bellingham Wheel and Keel Boating Club. She has also served on the Use of Time Task Force for the Bellingham School District.
