Pet carrier recycling program underway at the feline-exclusive Cat Nap Inn

The Cat Nap Inn, a Sedro-Woolley-based feline boarding company that describes itself as a “bed and breakfast for cats,” has started  a pet carrier recycle program.

The Inn sells previously used carriers in good condition at a reduced price. A portion of the sale proceeds go to local animal rescue groups.

“We’re always looking for ways to support local animal rescue organizations.  For this project we have chosen to work with We Snip, Cat’s Meow and Camano Animal Shelter Association. These community organizations play significant roles in helping animals in our community” owner Kolleen Fox said, in an April 16 press release.

Carriers can be either donated or purchased during the Inn’s lobby hours.

The business opened in 1999. It was custom designed with cats’ needs and preferences in mind.

Feline guests enjoy spacious suites with added amenities including garden views and private fish aquariums. Other services include feeding, housekeeping, a catnip hour and massage sessions.
