Peoples Bank has promoted Rachel Strachan as its vice president and controller.
Strachan, a certified public accountant who received a bachelor’s in accounting from Western Washington University, joined the bank in 2007 as assistant controller and was promoted to assistant vice president and controller in 2009.
“Rachel is consistent in her steady leadership of the accounting team, and she will continue her focus on ensuring the integrity of the bank’s control environment and financial statements,” Charles LeCocq, Peoples Bank president and CEO, said in a Feb. 22 press release.
Strachan has more than 10 years’ experience in the accounting and auditing fields.
In addition to her banking duties, she was a founding member of the Northwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured, sick and orphaned wildlife.
“It is a pleasure to recognize Rachel for her contributions to the bank with this promotion,” said Lisa Holleman, the bank’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. “Rachel is a true asset to the bank and continues to provide outstanding leadership in her department.”
