Radar Marine Electronics has purchased a 3,700-square-foot space in the Squalicum Lofts at 909 Squalicum Way, Suite 106 and is planning to move in early October.

The new space is almost twice as large as the current shop at 700 Coho Way, owner Dan Hisey said. Though the new store isn’t on the waterfront, it’s just a short drive away and will give the company more shop and warehouse space.

“The primary issue is proximity to the port and I wanted something new that I could build out,” Hisey said. “The business is growing and we’re here for the long haul.”

Hisey plans to start moving the business in September and is shooting to open the new shop Oct. 1.
