The Mt. Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross has announced three additions to its board of directors: Julie Farrow, insurance agent for Farmers Insurance; Larry Farr, marketing manager for Whatcom Land Title Company; and Mike Meggyesy, vice president and financial consultant for DA Davidson Company.
“As a former employee for the American Red Cross in Yakima I experienced firsthand how Red Cross services directly restored local families who lost a home to a fire, how the lifesaving first aid and CPR training equipped the community to save lives, and I had the opportunity to serve as part of a national response team during a national disaster,” Julie Farrow said in a press release. “My high regard for the work of the Red Cross has always continued and I feel privileged to again be a part of this vital organization by serving with other dedicated board members and the wonderfully capable staff.”
Farrow moved to Whatcom County in 2006 and worked as the development director for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services before becoming an agent with Farmers Insurance.
