If you plan to vote in the 2013 general election and still have not gotten your ballot turned into the Whatcom County Auditor’s office, then your time to do so is running out.
Voters must have their ballots postmarked no later than Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. The U.S. Post Service actually suggests mailing ballots by Monday, Nov. 4, for them to arrive on time.
The deadline for in-person, postage-free ballot drop offs is 8 p.m. on Election Day. A map of ballot drop boxes is available on the Whatcom County Auditor’s website.
The auditor’s office reported that, as of 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 31,430 ballots had been turned in, so far.
