Rick Mullen chosen for ASAI award

The Bellingham Business Journal

Illustrator Rick Mullen was chosen for an Award of Excellence for the second time by the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) and will be included in the organization’s 24th annual exhibition this October in Miami.

For the past 24 years, ASAI has presented Architecture in Perspective, an annual international competition and exhibition of architectural illustration. This year, a distinguished jury selected 50 award winners and six special award winners from over 500 entries.

Mullen’s winning image, a watercolor rendering of the San Juan Passage residential development in Anacortes, Wash. designed by Donald Powers Architects in Providence, R.I.,  was one of the 50 award winners that will become part of the exhibit in Florida and travel to various venues through 2010.
