The Bellingham Business Journal
Longtime local contractor Ron Faber has purchased DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen in Bellingham.
Faber acquired the business, which focuses on bathroom and kitchen remodels, late last year. He previously was a co-owner of Lynden-based Faber Brothers Construction for 23 years, specializing in design-build projects.
“I enjoy the creativity that design-build allows,” Faber said. “It’s very satisfying to draw on our broad range of in-house talent and capacities to handle projects from design to completion.”
Faber said remodel projects are faring well in this economy because they enhance living in a home while adding value to it. Also, DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen handles many projects involving “aging in place” aspects, such as walk-in showers, grab bars and changes to the kitchen that improve accessibility and safety for residents.
Faber said he was attracted to DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by its 15-year history in the area and the positive comments he received from its clients. Another plus was the retention of Rex Broward as general manager and Bonnie Rabatin as sales and design specialist. Faber also believes the business has potential to grow in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties.
