The hospital, which will be renamed the PeaceHealth United General Medical Center, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1. United General is located at 2000 Hospital Drive.
A long-term deal between PeaceHealth and United General was announced in November 2012 after approval by commissioners of Public Hospital District 304 in Skagit County.
PeaceHealth will take over the leasing and operation of the Sedro-Woolley hospital, but the facility with still be owned by the Public Hospital District.
It will also remain a critical-access hospital, according to PeaceHealth.
