Seminar series helps new homebuyers take first steps toward ownership

First-time homebuyers can learn what they need to know at the Free Homebuyer Education Seminar, sponsored by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.

The first class is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday June 16 at First American Title, 11 Bellwether Way Suite 301 in Bellingham. Classes will be held every other Saturday.

The course features live and interactive conversations with lenders, real estate agents and home inspectors as first step toward preparing for home ownership.

June 16 presenters include Cerise Noah of Windermere Real Estate, Dennis Flaherty of Inside n’Out Home Inspections and Susan Templeton and Mike Adams of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Class participants will receive their First Time Buyer Certificate and information about Washington state assistance programs. Future classes are scheduled for June 30,  July 14 and July 28. Presenters on June 30 include Tom G Langley of Windermere Real Estate and home inspector Kirk Juneau.
