The documentary, produced by the award-winning filmmakers Melissa Young and Mark Dworkin, showcases employee-owned businesses that compete successfully in today’s economy.
“We need to continue to find new solutions to foster local business and continue to grow a healthier more sustainable economy,” said Michelle Grandy, the Think Local First manager for Sustainable Connections, in a press release. “This film examines employee ownership as one solution that’s proving to be successful.”
The film starts at 4 p.m. at the Pickford, which is located 1318 Bay St. in downtown Bellingham.
The show costs $9.50 for adults, and $7 for Pickford members.
