New business owners and entrepreneurs can get help from Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center learning the basics of starting a small business.
The SBDC hosts free information sessions for its “Launch and Build Your Business” training program from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, and from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22—both at the center’s downtown Bellingham office, 115 Unity St., Suite 101.
The program is offered through Whatcom Community College in partnership with the SBDC and the Northwest Innovation Resource Center. It combines online classes, monthly seminars and networking opportunities, professional support, three textbooks and a six-month subscription to Business Plan Pro’s LivePlan template.
The program costs $239. Registration will start in August through WCC’s Continuing Education department. The training is certified by the Association of Small Business Development Centers.
