Sound Shredding & Recycling, a Bellingham-based document shredding company, announced it has earned AAA certification for its on-site and off-site shredding, hard-drive destruction and nonpaper-media destruction services from the National Association of Information Destruction for the fifth year in a row.
The NAID certification is the highest industry standard for shredding and destruction companies. According to Sound Shredding & Recycling, it the only locally owned company to offer NAID-certified shredding and destruction services.
“We want to continue to demonstrate to our customers that we care about the security of their materials,” Peter Rasco, the company’s general manager, said in a press release.
In order to keep itsAAA certification, Sound must pass annual and random third party audits. Sound has been NAID certified since 2008.
Sound Shredding & Recycling has provided confidential document shredding, paper recycling, and hard drive destruction services in Skagit, Whatcom, and = Island counties since 1991.
