Corporate charitable giving will be the focus of a March 20 speaker panel, part of the Igniting Philanthropy Series, an initiative hosted by the Whatcom Community Foundation, United Way of Whatcom County and the Washington chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club, located at 3729 Meridian St.
Panelists include: Jane Carten, director and president of Saturna Capital; Mike Hammes, owner of RAM Construction; and Raina O. Clark, public relations manager at Alcoa Intalco Works.
The three panelists will discuss their companies’ philanthropic goals and visions, and also answer questions.
The panel will be moderated by Rachel Myers, the development and programs manager at Whatcom Community Foundation.
Event registration costs $40 for AFP Washington members, and $50 for nonmembers (tickets will also be sold on-site for $60).
