Resolution Washington, an association of 20 nonprofit dispute resolution centers including the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center in Bellingham, has been awarded $2.1 million by the state attorney general to aid mediation between banks and homeowners facing foreclosures.
The money is the result of a national mortgage settlement between the federal government and the nation’s five largest mortgage companies, which will provide $25 billion in relief to distressed borrowers, including $648 million in benefits for Washington state homeowners.
The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center is located on Prospect Street in downtown Bellingham.
It can be reached at 360-676-0122.
