Nancy Steiger, a PeaceHealth executive who oversees medical centers and groups in Bellingham, Alaska, Sedro Woolley and San Juan Island, took on new responsibilities that include senior level oversight for PeaceHealth facilities in Longview and Vancouver.
Steiger’s title is senior vice president and CEO/mission officer for Washington and Alaska markets. She will also oversee future development and facilities in PeaceHealth’s Northwest Network, said Amy Cloud, PeaceHealth communications specialist.
“We’re lucky to have had her all this time,” Cloud said. “She’s got such great capabilities throughout the network.”
Steiger has an office and lives in Bellingham. She joined PeaceHealth as CEO and chief mission officer for PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in July 2007.
Josiah “Sy” Johnson, CEO and chief mission officer for PeaceHealth Columbia Network, which comprises PeaceHealth’s Vancouver and Longview facilities, will work with and report to Steiger, Cloud said.
In an unrelated announcement, PeaceHealth President Alan Yordy announced he will retire on June 30, 2015.
Yordy has worked with PeaceHealth for 25 years, and has been president for the last 10. PeaceHealth doubled in size during his tenure, according to a press release.
