Laura King has been hired by Sterling Health Plans as its new national medical director. Her primary role is to develop Sterling’s managed care capabilities and help Sterling’s members stay healthy and manage their chronic conditions. She also has oversight of management, care coordination and provider credentialing.

King has held numerous leadership positions in medical professional organizations. She holds certified physician executive designation from the American College of Physician Executives, is certified in health care quality management by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, and is certified by voluntary re-examination by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
