After 20 years, Dave Strauss, the western regional sales manager of industrial markets at Samson Rope, will retire in June.

His position will be filled by David Moore, who has a bachelor’s in aerospace engineering and an MBA in marketing.

Sampson Rope in Ferndale has been creating high-performance ropes for more than 100 years.
