Supports Ken Mann for Whatcom County Council

I am writing in regard to the upcoming election in Whatcom County. Specifically, I am writing to endorse Ken Mann for a seat on the County Council. In our lives we all have a person we turn to first for things such as financial advice or help with a home repair. When I need information about issues in Whatcom County, Ken Mann is that person for me.

I live in Whatcom County and I have known Ken for quite a few years and often I join him for some exercise riding mountain bikes. During times such as these, I have had the opportunity to hear Ken’s views and opinions and learn more about his involvement in the community of Whatcom County. Ken has been an active participant in Whatcom County for as long as I have known him. For example, he is a small business owner and he has been an active member of the Whatcom County Planning Commission. As a business owner and entrepreneur himself, I have listened to Ken talk of his concerns and plans to help promote local business to help create jobs and keep the economy of Whatcom County thriving. I have also listened to him relate how he loves the outdoors and how important it is to him that we protect our farmlands and watersheds to help preserve our rural areas in the county.

I trust and know that Ken Mann will do all these things, and he has the experience required to do the job, such as playing a role on the Whatcom County Planning Commission – beneficial experience that his opponent lacks. To prove I am not the only one who feels this way, Ken has the endorsement of many well-respected community people and organizations, another component to his campaign that his opponent lacks. So, in times of need he will be able to reach out to all his supporters, but who will his opponent be able to go to? It appears she is very much alone.

I know that Ken has a genuine and sincere interest in this community and he has a deep understanding of the issues involved in making Whatcom County the best place to live. I know Ken Mann would love nothing more than to be directly involved in making the decisions that help shape our community for the best future we can have. I encourage everyone to please vote for Ken Mann for County Council, and I promise you will not be disappointed.
