Sustainable Connections has appointed Laura Ridenour as its new Food and Farming Program manager and Emily Reisman as the new Energy Program VISTA.
Ridenour holds a B.A. in Food Systems and Social Change from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a certificate in Ecological Horticulture and Organic Farming from the UCSC Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems. Ridenour will oversee Sustainable Connections’ food and farming program, and support the development of a sustainable local food network in Northwest Washington.
Reisman earned a degree in Environmental Studies and International Studies from Washington University, St. Louis, and has a deep interest in creating environmental change by working with business owners from the ground up. Reisman will support Sustainable Connections’ upcoming community-wide energy efficiency challenge.
