Sustainable Connections marks July as Independent’s Month, a time to celebrate local businesses. Several activities and events will be held throughout the month for business owners and the public to attend.

On Thursday, July 7,  from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Sustainable Connections is hosting the “Local Lovers Tour,” where businesses around the downtown area will provide behind-the-scenes access to their operations. Tickets cost $15, with food, drink and coupon book provided.

On Saturday, July 9, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., the Downtown Market Walk allows Bellingham residents to tour about 15 local grocers, restaurants and specialty food shops. Attendees can sample food and drinks and earn door prizes.
