TEDx Bellingham is soliciting 30-second videos for a contest centered around the theme: “Here By Choice.”
The event, an independently organized spinoff of the global TED conferences, will be held Nov. 12 at The Pickford Film Center in downtown Bellingham.
Doors open at 9 a.m., and the event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a reception following. Tickets go on sale after Labor Day.
Videos should be uploaded to either You Tube or Vimeo and must be viewable to the public. They should also be “tagged” with #HereByChoice and #TEDxBellingham.

The three videos that receive the most likes (on the video’s upload page on Vimeo or You Tube) will be part of the content at TEDx Bellingham and will be shown during one of the three conference sessions. They will also be showcased as part of the Livestream webcast happening live at the event.
“The video contest is a cool way to let people express their views on our theme, or their love of Bellingham,” said organizer David Wiggs, in a press release. “Depending on the submissions, some content may be used on the TEDx Bellingham website to help promote the event, as well. We’re excited to see what happens.”
