An article written by three PeaceHealth Medical Group professionals is one of the top five finalists for the Edward B. Stevens Article of the Year Award, given by the Medical Group Management Association-American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Dr. Peter Valenzuela, medical director for PeaceHealth Medical Group; Bonita Criswell, clinic manager; and Dr. Greg Thompson collaborated on the article, titled “Using LEAN to redesign your team.” It was published in the August 2011 edition of the MGMA Connexion.

The Edward B. Stevens award is considered the highest form of recognition in the medical management association. Members have until July 27 to vote online for the winning article.
