Officials with the City of Bellingham are organizing a public tour of the proposed 14-acre waterfront park currently known as Cornwall Beach Park.
The hourlong tour is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23.
Those interested in attending are asked to meet at the corner of Pine Street and Cornwall Avenue, wear appropriate, closed-toe shoes, and leave pets at home.
Staff with the City of Bellingham and Port of Bellingham will lead the tour, answer questions and record comments from attendees.
Public access to the park site is normally closed due to ongoing environmental cleanup.
Nearly 330 names for the new park have been suggested by local residents. The city’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will continue reviewing the suggested names at its next meeting on Wednesday, April 9.
