The Building Industry Association of Whatcom County (BIAWC) recently introduced Linda Twitchell as the newly-hired public affairs coordinator.

Twitchell will serve as the liaison to both government affairs advocacy outreach to local government and the coordinator of BIAWC’s Built Green program.

“Linda’s 30-plus years of government affairs journalism, administration and educational background and experiences in Whatcom County will serve the association well,”  Charlie Hudson, the 2011 BIAWC President, said in a press release.

Twitchell is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Journalism and has been a reporter, editor, technical writer and book editor in the Midwest, East Coast and in Bellingham. Her activities in the community range from local festivals to advisory committee work at Western Washington University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in adult education.
