United Way of Whatcom County is looking for 100 businesses to each contribute $100 to help make a big impact on the community. Each company that participates will be listed in a premier “100 GIVE 100” ad in The Bellingham Business Journal and the contributions will join others to help create a healthier community for all.
Participating companies will also be featured on the United Way of Whatcom County Web site and e-news.
“We have over 300 companies/organizations that participate in our workplace giving campaign. Some businesses don’t have the resources to participate but would still like to be involved. The 100 GIVE 100 Program gives these businesses a chance to contribute and make a difference for our community,” said Peter Theisen, president of United Way of Whatcom County.
Last year, one in four Whatcom County residents utilized a United Way-funded program. It is also important to note that all contributions stay right here in Whatcom County to effect change and create opportunities. United Way of Whatcom County funds 45 health and human service programs at 32 local nonprofits that meet high standards and deliver life-changing results.
