United Way of Whatcom elects three new board members

Eileen V. Coughlin, Cheryl Crazy Bull and Peggy Nelson have been elected to the United Way of Whatcom County Board of Directors.

Coughlin has been the vice president for Student Affairs and Academic Support Services at Western Washington University since 1994. Crazy Bull was the third president and first female president of Northwest Indian College. Nelson is currently the vice president-divisions operations manager for Banner Bank in northwest Washington.

The new board that the members will be serving on is comprised of 25 volunteer corporate and community leaders who serve six-year terms. United Way of Whatcom County has worked for more than 50 years to increase funding for health and human services in the area.
