The Technology Alliance Group for Northwest Washington will host a CEO Forum event titled “Exiting a business: What you need to know,” from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club, 3729 Meridian St.
Moderator Glenn Butler, a business consultant specializing in emerging growth leadership and governance, as well as exit planning and execution, will lead a discussion covering a variety of topics, including how one prepares to exit a business, pitfalls during the process, how to value one’s business and deciding which moves to make.
Prior to starting his own consulting business in May 2000, Butler’s career included 21 years with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO, now BP). He has provided executive leadership services to various companies and organizations on an interim basis as CEO of MicroGREEN Polymers Inc., regional vice president for Matrix Services, exit manager for PIER Systems Inc., and executive director for Western States Petroleum Association.
Butler is also a founding member of the Bellingham Angels, a funding group for early-stage companies, as well as a funder and member of the Bellingham Innovation Group, which hosts the BIG Idea Lab.
The event costs $25 for TAG members, and $35 for nonmembers. Coffee and a buffet breakfast are included.
