Update on new Bellingham craft brewery openings

Here’s a quick follow-up on the two new local breweries featured on page one of the April edition of The Bellingham Business Journal:

Wander Brewing had a successful start last weekend, with the brewery’s brew hall at capacity for much of Saturday and Sunday, said Colleen Kuehl, who runs Wander with her husband, Chad.

The brewery is located at 1807 Dean Ave., just off of Cornwall Avenue near Bellingham High School. It is open from 3-9 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays, 3-10 p.m. on Fridays, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

More information can be found on Wander’s Facebook page.

Aslan Brewing Co. is still in development at 1330 N. Forest St. While Aslan is expected to be in operation within the next couple of weeks, owner Jack Lamb could not confirm a specific opening date.

Aslan is also on Facebook.

Beer varieties from both Wander and Aslan have already been available in several pubs and restaurants around town.
