The Upfront Theatre, a Bellingham-based live improv comedy theater, has appointed Galen Emanuele as its new marketing and sales director.

Emanuele has more than 10 years experience in sales and marketing in Bellingham. Most recently, he served for two years as a sales executive at The Bellingham Business Journal.

As one of the Upfront Theatre’s performers and also a highly skilled improv instructor, Emanuele said that his passion for the theater combined with his experience in the business community will allow the theater to focus more on their private, off-site performances and corporate improv training workshops showing businesses how they can use improv to increase success.

The Upfront Theatre is a 95 seat cabaret-style venue that offers live improv comedy every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Established by Ryan Stiles in 2004 at 1208 Bay St., the theater is also available for hire, on or off-site, to entertain any size event and for private corporate training.
