US Bank names Bruce Clawson as senior lender for commercial business banking

U.S. Bank in Bellingham named Bruce Clawson its new senior lender for commercial business banking.

Clawson will work out of the downtown office at 121 W. Holly St., and lead the commercial and business banking team, according to a press release from U.S. Bank.

Clawson has worked in corporate finance and financial services for more than 30 years. He started his career as a certified financial planner, and his recent work history includes a stint as senior vice president of Wells Fargo Commercial Banking in Bellingham and two years as Bank of Washington’s CEO, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He’s also a board member and vice president for the Western Washington University Foundation, a member of the City of Bellingham’s Capital Facilities Task Force, and he’s been a Rotary member since 2008.

U.S. Bank operates 189 branches and employs more than 2,350 people in Washington.
