Tim Villhauer, AAMS of the financial services firm Edward Jones, was invited to share his expertise in business management with less experienced financial advisors.
“It was an honor to be invited to the business development workshop,” Villhauer said. “As so many people helped me in the early years of building my business, I am grateful to be able to share my insights into the challenges and rewards of helping Edward Jones’ clients achieve their financial goals.”
Villhauer, who has been a financial advisor for nine years, led discussions on business management from his experience. In addition, he met with financial advisors individually to answer questions about his approach to working with clients face to face and implementing the Edward Jones philosophy.
The business development workshop is part of Edward Jones’ intense commitment to each financial advisor’s education. The firm’s financial advisors go through one of the most rigorous training programs in the industry before opening an office.
In addition, each financial advisor, including Villhauer, must attend a designated number of advanced training classes each year in addition to the continuing education course required by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
