A Snohomish County Council panel has given its go-ahead to a $650,000 contract with an engineering firm to design a terminal big enough to handle passengers for 23 commercial flights per day proposed for Everett’s Paine Field airport.
The full council is expected to vote on the contract on Wednesday, May 22.

Some travel destinations proposed by the airlines for Paine Field could mirror destinations served by the Bellingham International Airport, including Las Vegas and Hawaii.
