WCC recognized for technology use

Whatcom Community College was recognized by Hobsons, an education software and services company, for using its online student advising and support technology.

Hobsons recognized the school at its annual national conference, July 21-24, where the company’s staff nominates clients for a variety of awards. Whatcom Community College was one of three schools to receive Hobsons Progress and Succeed Award.

Brauch College and La Guardia College, both in New York, were the other recipients of the Progress and Succeed Award.

The software programs, called AgileGrad and Retain, replace manual processes and integrate degree planning, advising, and scheduling to streamline preparations for students, according to a news release from the college.
