D4 Productions, creators of the web series “Dark Darkness,” will host a free screening of its series prequel and kickoff its 30-day Kickstarter campaign with a live launch party May 26 to seek support from fans, followers and friends to produce and release season one: “The Dastardly Death of Dr. Darkness.”
Series director and co-producer Wilson Large, with fellow producer James Pidgeon, will host the launch party, featuring a screening of the prequel, costumed cast members and live Kickstarter campaign launch.
This event takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention, 1312 Bay St. in Bellingham.
Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite fantasy character. Those dressed as “Dark Darkness” lead character Ronald can enter a contest to win an opportunity to appear as a webisode extra.
“We’re excited for people to meet the characters who are going to make ‘Dark Darkness’ one of the best new series to hit the internet,” Large said in an April press release. “And we’re looking forward to launching a production that has the potential to put a lot of Bellingham filmmakers to work.”
