Michael Weisman has joined the Bellingham Bells baseball team as its new broadcaster for the upcoming 2013 season
As the “voice of the Bells,” Weisman will broadcast all 57 games this summer in addition to his role overseeing the Bells’ media relations.
“We are thrilled to have Michael as a member of the Bells this summer,” said Nick Caples, the team’s general manager, in a press release. “He brings a lot of talent and experience to the booth in addition to a style that fans will really enjoy tuning in to listen to.”
The Bells are a summer collegiate baseball team that plays in the West Coast League.

He began his broadcasting career in 2009 for WVUM, the University of Miami radio station. After gaining experience in volleyball and women’s basketball, he became the assistant sports director for the station in 2011.
Weisman served as part of the voice of “The U” over those five years, calling Atlantic Coast Conference action in football, men’s basketball and baseball.
“I’m excited for this opportunity and look forward to my experience in the Northwest,” Weisman said. “The Bells and the West Coast League are the perfect chance for me to continue my broadcasting career.”
