Western Washington University’s Border Policy Research Institute is hosting two speakers to discuss border issues on May 11 and May 18 on the Western campus. From 1-2 p.m. on May 11 in the Academic Instructional Center West Room 406, Heather Nicol will present “The Fence & the bridge: Geopolitics and identity along the Canada-U.S. border.” Nicol is a professor at Trent University.
On May 18 in the Fairhaven College auditorium, Victor Clark Alfaro will present “Human right at the Mexico-U.S. Border: A personal experience.” Alfar is an adjunct professor at San Diego State University and director of the Binational Center for Human Rights.
Both talks are free and open to the public.
