Pre-registration is now open for Whatcom Community College’s English as a second language classes for immigrants, as well as adult basic education classes for students preparing to take the GED certification or the college placement test.
Classes begin Sept. 27. Students must pre-register at the Office of Transitional Learning (Cascade Hall, Room 167) and attend an orientation to enroll. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
The Office of Transitional Learning is also accepting applications to the IBEST Medical Assisting program through Sept. 10. Classes begin Sept. 27.
IBEST programs help students improve basic skills in math and English while they earn a degree or certificate.
